Eine Tasche zum Hundersten ...

So, es ist Aschermittwoch, und Faschingsmuffelinen wie ich haben wieder freie Bahn ... deshalb hab ich mein blog-Design gleich mal auf Frühling umgestellt, auch wenn draußen noch nicht viel davon zu sehen ist - vielleicht lässt sich der Frühling ja ein bisschen locken?
It's ash wednesday - good for canival avoiders like me ... so I changed my blog-design into spring, even if outside one can't see much spring yet. Perhaps spring will be attracted?

Ich find es superpraktisch, in der Handtasche immer eine klein gefaltete Einkaufstasche dabeizuhaben, so für den Notfall. Als ich hier unter der Nr 16 (weit runterscrollen) diese Anleitung für eine "Kleinmachtasche" gefunden habe, musste ich das gleich mal ausprobieren - die Falte hab ich aber weggelassen, das wurde mir zu dick. Ich habe zwei als Geburtstagsgeschenke gemacht.
In my handbag I always carry a small folded shopping bag for shopping emergencies. So when I found this tutorial on this site (scroll down to nr 16), I at once had to sew it - but I left out the gusset, it was too bulky for me. I made two bags as birthday presents.



Ich hab dazu auch endlich mal wieder das Stickteil meiner NäMa rausgezogen und die Stickkarten ausprobiert, die ich Silvia abgenommen habe. Dann fiel mir auf, dass ich ja jetzt ein Windows-Lappi habe und nicht mehr nur meinen alten Mac, und deshalb problemlos freebies aus dem Internet sticken kann - bei der Hobbyschneiderin bin ich da mehr als fündig geworden. Also hab ich gleich noch eine so Tasche in grün genäht und versucht, sie mit freebies frühlingshaft zu besticken. Die Stickereien haben ein paar Fältchen - über Tipps, wie man den Stoff wirklich straff genug in den Stickrahmen spannen kann, bin ich dankbar.

Naja, aber wenn ihr die Tasche trotzdem schön und/oder praktisch findet (die Farben sind in echt viel schöner), ich verlose sie zu meinem hundertsten post (das ist dieser hier) als ein herzliches Dankeschön, dass ihr meinen Ergüssen so freundlich zuhört und zuschaut.

For the bags I pulled out the stitching part of my sewing machine, which I hadn't done for a long time, and I tried the stitching cards I had gotten from Silvia. Then I realized that now that I have a windows laptop and not only my old Mac I can stitch freebies from the internet, too - and I found lots of them here. So I made another bag in green with spring motifs.

Ohne Worte

Die schwarze Schar ist unterwegs

Immer am Faschingssonntag ist in Ellwangen "Pennäler Schnitzelbank" - die Altstadt ist komplett abgedunkelt, die "schwarze Schar" zieht mit Fackeln ein und verliest Spottverse über die Honoratioren der Stadt ... und die wollen natürlich nicht zu bös verspottet werden, aber nicht in der Versliste vorkommen geht natürlich auch nicht ... ich finds auch immer spannend, wie eine Stadt komplett dunkel aussieht, sowas kennen wir sonst ja gar nicht mehr.
Every year on the sunday of the carnival time there is "Pennäler Schnitzelbank" in my town (sorry, impossible to translate that ...) - the town is completely dark, and unknown people in black robes march in carrying torches and sing mocking verses about all the bigheads in town.

Was hab ich eigentlich letztes Jahr um die Zeit gemacht? Ach ja, die ganze Nacht genäht, um den Quilt für den Wettbewerb "Karneval in Venedig" im PW-Forum ferigzukriegen - darf ich ihn nochmal zeigen, obwohl viele ihn ja schon gesehen haben? Passt gerade so gut in die Zeit.
And what did I do last year in the carnival time? Ah, yes, I sewed all night to get the quilt for the competition "carnival in Venice" at the PW-Forum ready in time. May I show it again, even if many have seen it already? It fits the time at the moment.



Und ich weiß immer noch nicht, warum manche Bilder unerwartet gedreht auftauchen - immer noch niemand ne Idee?
I still don't know why sometimes the pictures show up turned around, doesen't anybody have a tip for me?

Von Bären, Hasen und Hunden ...

Dieses Bärchen hab ich Anfang der Woche als Geburtstagsgruß an Colli (kein blog) geschickt.

Außerdem hab ich mich bei Heidi fürs Osterhäschen, ääääh Osterwichteln angemeldet - danke, Heidi, dass du dich da wieder mal drum kümmerst!
Also, I registered to pariticpate in the easterbunny, ääääh, easter-present-swap from Heidi - thanks, Heidi, for organizing that again.

Ansonsten kann ich gerade nicht viel zeigen, ich hab wohl die Wintermüdigkeit ... ich bin des Winters wirklich müde, und außerdem macht er mich gerade seeehr müde, und ich krieg nicht viel zustande. Franco fand es allerdings total toll - als ich mich erstmal durch Schnee und Karnevalsgruppen zum Tierheim durchgekämpft hatte.
Apart from that I can't show much at the moment, I think I'm suffering from winter-tiredness - I'm tired of and from the winter. Well, Franco liked it very much this afternoon, after I had at last managed to get to the animal shelter through all that snow and all the carnival groups.

Ein Valentinskätzchen und anderes

Diese süße Katze hab ich heute von Joan bekommen. Sie gehört zum "Here, kitty kitty"-Swap bei fabricards und kam so richtig passend zum morgigen Valentinstag. Ein richtig herziges Kätzchen.
Today I got this sweet cat from Joan. It's from the "here, kitty kitty" swap at fabricards and arrived quite fitting for valentine's day. Isn't it charming?

Dieses Jahr ist wirklich so richtig Winter ... hätt ja gerne mal was anderes ... naja, ich hoffe, es gibt dann auch einen richtig schönen Frühling. So siehts vor meinem Fenster aus - inzwischen mit noch mehr Schnee:
This year the winter is really something ... I long for a bit of spring ... this is the view out of my window, even more snow has fallen in the meantime.

Aber ein kleiner Blumengruß: meine Amaryllis hat tatsächlich Blüten angesetzt ... was ein echtes Wunder ist, so wie ich meine Blumen immer vernachlässige.
At least my amaryllis decided to be nice and show some buds ... which really is a miracle considering the way I tend to neglect my plants ...

Und diesen Blumengruß hab ich auch noch nicht gezeigt: Eine Nelke von Lori vom Flower Mingle bei fabricards, und meine Kreuzstichnelke.

Übrigens hab ich auch noch mehr UFOs gefunden oder Projekte, die ich eigentlich mal machen wollte: Eigentlich wollte ich mal mitmachen bei "take a stitch on tuesday" und mich außerdem mal richtig mit der Software meiner Stickmaschine beschäftigen ... und eine Leselotte nähen, zum Lesen im Bett ... na, mal sehen was dieses Jahr noch so geht ...
I also found more UFOs, or projects I had once planned to do: I wanted to take part in "take a stitch on tuesday" and also get to know the software of my stitching machine ... and sew a cushion especially for reading in bed ... well, we'll see what will be possible this year ...

Heute hab ich wieder was Schönes zu zeigen. Bei den Zahlen-ATCs bei fabricards kam heute der weiche Brief, der meine 3er-Serie vervollständigt hat. Ich hab auch schon Vierer und Fünfer-ATCs und bin ganz begeistert, wieviel Spaß es macht, sich zu den Zahlen etwas auszudenken und zu sehen, was andere sich ausdenken.
I can show something beautiful again. I got the last ATC "three" from the number series at fabricards today. I also got ATC's "four" and "five" already, and it's great how much fun it is to think about themes matching the numbers and seeing the ideas of the others.

Ja, manchmal braucht man die anderen. Bei fabricards sind die Swaps ja weltweit, und demnächst soll ich eine Karte nach Victoria, Australien schicken. Ich les auch immer mal australische blogs. Und was in den Nachrichten schon schrecklich ist, rückt einem so irgendwie noch näher. Deshalb möchte ich wenigstens ein paar gute, wenn auch leider hilflose, Gedanken zu den Opfern der schrecklichen Buschbrände schicken und allen Helfern viel Kraft wünschen.
Sometimes one really needs the others. At fabricards we swap worldwide, and soon I'll send a card to Victoria, Australia. I also read some australian blogs. And what really is awful already when you see it in the news so gets under my skin even more. So I want to send some good, though helpless thoughts to the victims of the awful bushfires and wish all helpers the endurance they need.
