Time goes by fast, already 1/12 of 2009 is gone. So now I show you my february-cards: The first, the carnival-card from Sabina, is in the calendar, the one with the valentine theme I got from Janine in the monthly swap at the PW-Forum - aren't they both beautiful? And so the main february themes are represented in my sitting room. I also chose the carnival as theme for the monthly swap.
Ich hab auch noch ein paar UFOs gefunden. Ziemlich neu ist dies hier: An Weihnachten hab ich versucht, mir von Uschi beibringen zu lassen, wie man Kreuzstich macht, bei dem auch hinten alles in dieselbe Richtung zeigt. Knifflige Sache!! Meine Oma und meine Tante konnten das beide perfekt, nur kann ich sie leider nicht mehr fragen. Ich hab ein Muster ausgesucht, das dann hoffentlich zu deren Werken an meiner Wand passt.
Also, I found some more UFOs. This is quite new. During my christmas visit I tried to learn from Uschi to do cross stitch that is totally regular on the backside, too. Quite difficult. My grandma and my aunt both could do that perfectly, but unfortunately I can't ask them any more. I chose a pattern that hopefully will match their great works on my wall.
Außerdem habe ich sage und schreibe 3 angefangene Paare Socken gefunden, die schon seit 2 Jahren liegen. Warum ich nicht erstmal ein Paar fertiggestrickt habe? Fragt mich was leichteres. Naja, ihr habt es ja in euren Kommentaren ganz richtig gesagt, frau braucht auch ein paar UFOs. Mein wichtigstes Ziel wäre es, dass der Sternenquilt bis zum nächsten Winter wirklich "sofatauglich" fertig wird.
Moreover, I found 3 unfinished pairs of socks lying here for 2 years already. Why I didn't finish one pair before starting another? Don't ask me ... . Well, as you said in your comments, a woman needs her UFOs. My most urgent goal is to finish the starry quilt until next winter.
